The 2026 Autumn Internationals will usher in a new era for international rugby with the launch of the inaugural Autumn Nations Championship. Bringing together the world’s leading rugby nations, this exciting new tournament will add extra intensity and global significance to the traditional autumn schedule.
Played every two years between Rugby World Cup and British & Irish Lions cycles, the competition pits the Northern Hemisphere against the Southern Hemisphere in a unique championship format, culminating in a blockbuster Finals Weekend at Twickenham.
For supporters and corporate groups alike, the 2026 tournament promises some of the biggest fixtures in world rugby, with England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales hosting rugby’s elite across November.

THE AUTUMN NATION CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
The tournament features two pools:
Northern Hemisphere

Southern Hemisphere

- Argentina
- Fiji
- Japan
Following six rounds of competition across the Summer and Autumn windows, every team will progress to Finals Weekend, where Northern and Southern Hemisphere nations finishing in the same position face each other.
The result? A true world championship finale to conclude the international season.
