The UEFA Champions League is about to embark on a thrilling new journey with the 2024/2025 season, introducing an innovative
new format
that will redefine the competition's landscape. This season, the tournament will feature a
single league phase
with 36 teams, each playing eight matches against various opponents. The
top eight teams will secure direct entry into the
knockout stages, while teams ranked 9th to 24th will compete in a
playoff round
for the remaining spots.
